Experience kayaking first hand at the FREE Kayak event August 15, 2026, starting at 8:30 am! Boats and gear will be supplied; bring your own boat if you have one. Instruction will be given on paddle movement and motion, boat basics and safety. Participants will experience kayaking during a 50 minute paddle on the water.

This event is open to people of all ages; children under 8 years old must supply their own life preserver if participating. Participants are encouraged to wear sunscreen and water friendly clothing and shoes.

Each session will last 50 minutes on the water, with a maximum of 24 kayaks per session.
All water enthusiasts, regardless of kayaking experience, are welcome. People with their own boats are more than welcome also. PFD’s are required. If bringing your own kayak, don’t forget your paddle.

Volunteers will be assisting, including sharing paddling and safety skills.
